Ex e Recessed Emergency Fluorescent
Zone 1 & Zone 21
The vl78c is a range of fluorescent luminaires suitable for zone 1 ex e (Category 2) for increased safety lighting and has the same features as the vl77c but also provides emergency illumination in the event of a power failure.

The luminaire is solas b15 fire rated making the vl78c is the ideal recessible luminaire for emergency situations.

Operation in emergency mode provides 90 minutes of lighting. The VL78 has a battery management system that continually monitors and self-tests ensuring optimum battery performance.

The body is constructed from white painted, zinc coated steel with a silicone rubber gasket and clear polycarbonate diffuser.

VICTOR Viscount® VL52A

The Viscount® vl52a is a zone 1 (Category 2) fluorescent for general purpose and emergency lighting, it is particularly suited for operation in areas with a high ambient temperature.

The vl52a has a compact, low profile design with a simple ‘Uni-Strut’ fixing for easy installation.

When operating in emergency mode, the internal battery provides up to 3 hours of illumination. The vl52a can function in maintained or switched modes.

The Viscount® also utilises high frequency control gear that can reduce running costs by up to 30%. Quick lamp starting and flicker free operation are also assured.
